Stratford on Avon Butterfly Farm.

Went there today, a very good place for taking pictures.
It's like a tropical forest in a giant greenhouse, and you walk around it while large butterflies fly around you.
Well worth a visit if you can get there.
They've got an insect house as well.

Thanks for the replies.
I had to scrap a lot of pictures as handheld macro is a bit wobbly and throws the focus out. Had lots of camera shake as well from the light being a bit low. Didn't like to blast the little critters with the flash.
Some sort of anti-shake would be useful for handheld macro I think.
Had a nice time there anyway :)

Lovely images garry ... greatly the blue of '112' ...gorgeous !

the Macro results of the GRD never ceases to amaze me ;) just as long as the subject is still enough :x

Cheers , Kort .

:)

I went to that butterfly farm last year... it was so humid in there. I wish I had my GRD on me at the time. I think you have got some great shots, considering how difficult it is to hold that camera still in macro mode. Wonderful colours.

It is very humid in there, my glasses and the camera lens fogged up, but it clears after a couple of minutes.
Might be going back there sometime, as I wanted a boat ride on the river, but it was raining all that day!
