Stone carver

A friend of mine is carving paving slabs at Columba 1400, a nearby charity-based activities centre for young people with problem backgrounds. Sponsors pay £1,000 to have their name/s engraved on a slab. He sets up the wording in MS Publisher and cuts a stencil. He sprays through the stencil on to the slab and then chisels the lettering out by hand.
