thank you very much for this blog in which you learn what not to be found on the Ricoh website or in advertisements or in another blog: Congratulations and thank you
here's a suggestion: tell us about the dedicated flash system, features and compatibilities.
This information is not found!
A thousand thank you in advance

Auto,
I have done a fair amount of work with flash.
Here's my take on it. To start, the onboard unit on the GXR is better than any I've ever used. It's very efficient and lights very gently, not harsh.
I also use a Nikon SB-22s that gives me a great result with good fstop range.
I use that flash in a lot of ways. A cool thing is to set the camera to Snap Mode, 2 meters distance at f8...iso 400-800 as needed.... Then just frame and shoot. This way you get the benifit of snap focus coupled with a really cool focus zone lit by the flash.
The Ricoh flash works well also but much more expensive then the Nikon.

Hope this helps. Don

Streetshooter :thank you so much for its rapid participation and experience.
my question was more focused on the system of slave flash type E-TTL or P-TTL or TTL-I
I read that Ricoh had no system "owner" but he used the system TTL Flash Sigma
Ricoh is no indication in his notices. All forums do not never talk about !
Sigma does not mention it either! (can be a mutual agreed dicrétion)
How does the Sigma old flashes with partial coupling?
Sorry for my English, I go through the translator.
again big thank you and congratulations for the blog

Don,
does the GXR communicate with the SB? or do you use it in manual settings and the camera (in A or M) just triggers the SB unit placed in the flash hot shoe?
Thanks.

The camera only fires the flash. So one needs to marry the 2 together.
I use M mode on the camera. Usually 1/125 @ f8.
Then the SB-22s is set to one of the auto modes. When fired, the flash will send the proper amount of light out for the set fstop. It works as good as that fancy TTL stuff.
