Image quality isn't bad, but the UI is awful ... or maybe I haven't figured it out yet. Don and others, any settings tips?

The composition of the first image is fine, its an good cityscape with clever reflections, well seen..
but to my monitor the image comes across blotchy and perhaps heavily compressed?
I am going to blame some software over processing it for you - maybe the resize algorithm. Perhaps the original jpg is better?

The other image render better for some reason.

I'm agreeing with Tim on the tonal compression. Are you doing Raw and or Jpeg?

Set up is easy. It's not a GRD4 so forget about autodrive to make photos. The RX100 requires some activity at the wrong time for many ohotos...

If you have Skype or join me, we can do the setup live and that would be better....Let me know...
Don

Thanks Genster.

Tim and Don, you may be right abour teh overprocessing.

Don, I'm hoping to take a day off on Wednesday from work. Maybe we can catch up then. Will confirm tonight.
