Re: What could this be?

It has the look of fabric to me, perhaps the under side of carpet?
But some how it also looks a bit like it was taken from a moving car?

Re: What could this be?

Tim, neither is right or close enough. However, you luckily used the key word well describing what is the shot about. I only cannot remember which one it was. :?:

Re: What could this be?

Hmm, I also thought this looked like a tyre track?
there is something familiar about it.

Re: What could this be?

At first I thought is was webbing for a parashoot. Then I thought, it more likely to be a part of footwear. Like a strap.

Oh, Orol! I went over to http://www.rasteria.com/ & love that photograph False Creek in the Vancouver, BC, Canada It has a Yin Yang feel. Very nice.

Re: What could this be?

Well I started out wondering if itcould be part of your gold coin hoard..but then again it could be keys; car or house door... :?

Re: What could this be?

Tyre... hmm... tyre track definitely not, but tyre... no, tyre neither. Only fooling you. :)
Webbing, straps, strings, coins, keys... what about these little things that can shine... it sounds like a wrong way also.
Car or house door... it could be... maybe... really?... but, sorry, it is not either.
Eh, Andy, you accidentally used the key word again... and I lost it again.

Maybe some hint could help. Let's try some EXIF info for starter:
Nikon D90, Nikkor 18-200mm, Exposure Time: 1/250, F-Number: 16.0, ISO: 200, 35mm Based Focal Length: 300, Focusing Distance: infinity

PS: Phil, thank you much for visiting my pages and liking a bit of them. That Vancouver summer holiday trip was fantastic and the city and its beautiful area is pinned as "to visit once again" on my traveler's map.

Re: What could this be?

Peter,

Tricky one this, is it a production line for paperclips?

Or maybe not..........

Re: What could this be?

AS my second guess I would go with a uniform, could be some stripes or piping on a uniform

Re: What could this be?

I regret to inform you that the game is over. Marc, you know something other do not? Hat off, mister. A perfect hit.
It is a parking lot of a local car producer as seen from a hill. Ha, the key word I recently "forgot" twice was a "car".

The original image was hugely skewed to get a rectangular pattern. Unskewed it would look this way:

The unclipped original view with less aggressive post processing (the visibility was quite poor) was like this:

Re: What could this be?

jeje, I am original from Valencia - Spain and each time I fly home I see a similar perspective from the Ford factory. With the skewing, the cars in the down-left corner seemed more like missiles.

Re: What could this be?

These are South Korean KIA's, covered by snow. Only their side windows and lights reflected the light. If you add a low sun and a lucky angle of view and the fact some of the cars were parked south-north whilst others east-west, you get the interesting shining pattern that drew my attention from a long distance.
