Sensor size matters!

There was a short, decent article in my local paper today, with the accompanying picture.

No wonder there is such a differenct in IQ betweeen compacts and DSLRs.

I think it makes you appreciate how much a compact sensor captures when you see it compared to the others. Incredible really.

As Mae West said, its not the size but how you use it.

Sometimes smaller ones can get in where a larger size will have problems. Picture taken with a GX100
sneaking at a Jazz club which imposes a Photoban.Try using a full frame camera here!

The GX100 with EVF is very discreet,focus assist off and LCD off. Now if it was only with an f1,8 lens too!
Perhaps now that Samsung have produced a fast lens small sensor camera, Ricoh will do something.
