SD crash?

Hi, I'm new here so be gentle with me!
Today I was happily snapping away on my lovely GX200 and before I knew it had filled up my 2GB SD. I found out with the usual 'capacity shot' message which came up on the screen after I'd taken the final snap. But after that, I was unable to go back & view my pics as I normally would in order to delete any dodgy pics therefore freeing up space on the card. Instead, I just got a "format card" message. Surely if I format my card I lose all the data don't i? What can I do...i've tried putting it in a card reader and right clicking it to 'explore' it, 'open' it, 'open auto-play' etc etc and i still get the format message.
When I right click onto properties it shows a full disk.
HELP! I'd be sad to lose everything I shot on it.
Thanks, Lisa.

Hi Lisa and welcome here!

I never heard of such SD card problem related to Ricoh cameras. I think your only hope is an SD card recovery tool. There are plenty of them around the web. Unfortunately, I don't have any clue, which one is the best one to deal with your problem.

What brand of SD card do you use? And what's your GX200 FW version?
