Road Trip | Airstreaming

Thought I'd start a new thread for a vacation we'll begin tomorrow. We're heading to Pensacola, Florida for a few days in the sun and beach. I'll be updating my blog and adding photos from there to this thread with my photos along the way.

As you can see, my truck wheels are polished and ready to roll. The trailer is loaded and we'll be hooking up in the morning and heading south.

I've only heard of Pensacola in reference to the movie Contact. Looks like a fab destination!
I will enjoy coming along on the trip with you through your images! :D

We haven't had our aluminum baby out on the road for almost two years so the first thing we did was found a Blue Beacon truck wash.

I like that second picture. Caravan & touring will afford plenty of photo opportunity's.
Enjoy your trip & Pensacola Fl.

looking forward to see some pics of your trip.

have a good one!

BTW the 2end pic is a realy great one, love it.

Nice one, i like the soft look on this picture.

the blog does'nt open at the moment (my internetconnection is to slow :( ), but i'll check it out later this week.

Thanks Gab, just reunited with an old Marine squadron mate I hadn't seen in almost 30 years that lives just a few miles from where we're camping!

I haven't had much time to process images as I've been enjoying our time in the sun and sand. However, one of the reasons we travel to this locale is the Naval Aviation Museum that's here. Our campground is also on the base and less than a mile away from the museum. My wife has taken this same photo each time we've come here. The aircraft formation is of course the Blue Angels A-4 Skyhawk. This is the same model aircraft I flew in the Marine Corps and the first squadron I flew in after transferring to the US Navy. Photo taken with my Ricoh GRDIII.

I'm trying to recall the pop song with 4 Blue Angel jets line....nice to see and I think it is imaginative to suspend aircraft in this way and 4 together is very unusual but appropriate...I have a feeling though that the A4's nickname was 'dinky'? Mrs P did a good job with the GRD III - perfect exposure.

Wow what an outfit, if you don't come back with some outstanding images .... I would be very surprised! Safe trip and enjoy the vacation.
