Ricoh's and weird effects shots?

Anyone here experimented with getting some weird effects using their ricoh cameras? (maybe some weird color results, blur, wide-angle)?

I'm asking because I'm thinking of using my Ricoh as a semi-lomo camera but would rather not do it in Photoshop but rather a more natural effect by using filters etc... Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks

Great links. I might pick up the 303. Only thing is that it wont fit the filter threads right away. Do you think that a step up ring will do the trick?

The QC-303 (and QC-505) has a 37mm filter thread and fit without a converter on the GRD lens hood. For the GX100 you would need a step down ring since the filter thread there is 43mm, not sure how the quality compares though.

Gotcha. Thanks a lot for the help. I think the QC-303 would be just the right kind of lens i'm looking for with the distortion and all. The shots you took looked great. I wish more people experimented with "digital lomo" like this. Very fun and creative.

Thanks and you're welcome.
The adapter is cheap enough so that it's not really an issue to try it out and use it for fun.
Post your pictures here when you have it, really interested to see them.

Interesting reading! Please report back with your results since I'm one of those realy longing for a digital Lomo :)

Here's some initial shots using the QC303 combo with the GX100... and a little PP to tweak the colors
