Ricoh GRD III is coming

hi guys,

just got the news from ricohclub.net Thailand,

first look of grd III
exterior is the same. 28mm. gr lens and f 1.9 woohooo
but look at the menu, 6 of my settings with edit name, snap mode with adjustable focus range, WB- MP mode, DR mode like CX1 etc.

but it's 43 mm adaptor so.. it's can't use with my GRD I adaptor

anyway.. time to saving money hahaha

At a guess cmos sensor - CX smarts and GR finessing - very desirable. Now what can I do with my venerable GR-D? It still works well.

(... and no, I am not selling it as it is also a classic and not to be 'given away')

I am not sure about a CMOS sensor myself. As far as I know there is no 1/1.7" CMOS sensor on the market, although there is a 1/1.6" CMOS sensor that is being used by Casio. But the 6mm lens suggests that the sensor size is the same as the GX200 sensor.

And keep using your GR D Classic Tom. It was made to do so.

for the people who come to late for the pic. it's still look like GRD II.
only the menu is not the same and in front of lens it's say f 1.9!!

about the cmos.. if i'm not wrong . the admin said GRD still using CCD.

i can tell almost the same. It`s CMOS and not CCD anymore. 3" Display with 920.000 ( hello CX1 ) and fast like a train ( hello CX1 again ) It look`s like CX1 and GRD are going to have a baby ???
