Ricoh GRD III Autofocus Macro Speed

hello all,

this should be an easy question for the GRD III owners: although this is my 3rd GRD (first was a III, then a IV, and now again a III, because I favor its sharpness over the IV),
I am not sure if the focusing behaviour in Macro mode of my GRD III is ok.
When I focus in Macro mode the camera always focuses to a certain unsharp point, maybe the nearest distance (?) and then focuses on the object. Even if I focus again
on the same object with the same distance the AF goes back to a totally unsharp point and focuses again to the required distance. I don't remember how it was with my
first GRD III, but I am pretty sure it was different with the IV. Everything is focused perfectly, but it's strange that the AF is behaving like this.
I have read in several threads of odklizec, that AF Macro is very slow. Maybe that's what he or others are talking about.

Thanks for your answers!

Peter
