I just bought the GR. It's a great little camera after all. For GR owners, I wish you all enjoy the camera as much as I do.

You are absolutely right about the GR!
As a die-hard film shooter for 35mm, I only shoot digital in medium format.
So getting into a small hand held digital camera took me a lot of research, as I was not up to date in the newest offerings.
In the end, Fuji was a great product, but the IQ of the Ricoh in my view was just plain better, and 28 fits my way of shooting.
The GR is a jewel in every way, especially the layout of controls and ease of use, not to mention the large sensor and all the rest.
And a great rendition in B/W mode of blacks, all kinds of greys and white, like in your picture ;-0)

I used to use film a lot. However, it's just too expensive to keep doing it and the whole film workflow doesn't really fit into the digital era. It's sad but every film shooter needs to accept it. I don't like Fuji. Maybe it's too stylish to me, as I believe that a good photo comes from a good photographer, not a stylish camera. After couple of days of shooting, I like GR more and more, especially put on the SNAP mode while turning off the display. The 28mm lens pretty much covers everything I see at that moment and the camera becomes part of my body. Then, after I download photos into my computer, I see what I really captured. It's an amazing feeling, like seeing the photos in the dark room. Anyway, it doesn't really matter, film or digital. What matters is my own passion and love, endless love for the world I see.
