I personally hope there will be no such attempt form Ricoh

In my opinion, Ricoh photo division is just not big enough to start their own DSLR program. There are already too many players on this field and starting with DSLR development from scratch would take a lot of time and money. It would be much better (both for Ricoh and customers) to develop a large sensor compact like DP1. Just my two cents
