But then I sent this (in a sudden change of mind)..

I Think You made a good choice!
I Like the second one much more. Nice shot.
Didn´t manage to shoot nothing special at the time - Only one week with the GX100 :(

It's a celebration fire Luis. It's held each year in many towns all over the country (usually on hills around the towns) as a celebration of declaration of Slovak sovereignty. It's over 2m high and the fire is visible from large distance.

I hope it qualifies, it's a very good picture although the first is also good.

Just got an email from Ricoh. Nono..I did not won ;) But it seems, my contribution will at least be displayed during the Ricoh Contest Exhibition. Nice to know the photo will be displayed in Japan. Pity I have no way to Tokyo in these days. Hope any Ricoh Forum member will visit the exhibition! ;)

A total of 951 submissions were received and underwent a rigorous judging process. While your photo was not chosen as a winner for the contest, it will be on display at the Second Caplio & GR DIGITAL Photo Contest Exhibit to be held for four days from Thursday, September 20 to Sunday, September 23, 2007 at the “i-salon” on the second floor of Ricoh headquarters in Tokyo’s Ginza district.

We would be honored if you could stop by sometime during the exhibit.

I got the same email and was about to post it here, did not win either but it is nice that it will be displayed. Would love to go and see the exhibition in Tokyo though.

Hope someone from this forum can go there and take a few pictures (only with a Ricoh camera of course ;) ).
