R8 full res samples

Here are some full resolution R8 samples. Click on file name under the small image to show the photo in a full resolution. All photos taken handheld, even the night and slow shutter speed ones.

CR test..it's definitely not that bad as seen in many other R8 samples? It's mainly because of Neutral color depth:
The bad thing is visibly smeared tiny details. It's strange, because in other cases the R8 NR does an excellent job with preserving details.

ISO800 (this one is a very good example of good R8 NR. Yes, it's noisy and somewhat smeared. But hey!..there is almost no color noise and many details are still preserved!):

Hi Pavel,
Thanks for the many R8 samples!
I must admit that -- even though I prefer to underexpose my images -- these look a little bit too dark for my taste (I looked at them on Windows and Mac computers). I checked the EXIF data for just one photo (10389) and found that you had set exposure compensation to EV -1.0. For the GX100 and the R6, we use EV -0.7, but for my taste EV -0.3 works better for the R8.
Best regards,
Gerd

You are right Gerd. They may be a bit too underexposed. But I prefer the underexposed rather than overexposed photos. It's easy to make them brighter in PP, without risking burned highlights. Usually, I'm editing all my photos before publishing them. But not these samples ;)

I agree with Gerd -0.3 seems to work best right across the Ricoh camera range as a starting point. Its a matter of taste and the 0.0 setting is ok and quite usable just a fraction light for my personal taste.

If you are going to use b&w native mode (not available on the R8) then you can go darker in reasonably good light -0.7 or -1.0
