The lens certainly details all the flaws on the surface of the fruit.
Are they various colours or is this the result of differing lighting?

+1 with Richard, its a great lens.

I loved that lens so much that it got pretty rampaged, dented and the macro setting is unfortunately off the rockers and limits.
Which is a great shame and pity, because if you really want to see what that lens can as a true macro, just take a pict of a flat object a the nearest dist. Sharp corner to corner, a sign of a true macro, no field curvature. All this allready at full aperture even if it`s best at f:7,1 where it amazing. As said I like that lens so much
that I wouldn`t mind to get a fully working one.
 
If Ricoh made A12 50 macro with faster AF and 16MP sensor from Pentax K series, they would have a winner.
