Protest Girl - G20 Protest '09

I picked this up with my new Pentax K20D camera on my way to the G20 protest marches in London. I met her on the way there on the Whitechapel High Road and asked for her picture and she obliged. I had to work quickly 'cos time was marchin' on (pun, sorry), as a result there is lens flare in this, but in the end I like it.

I've been takin' pictures of the G20 Protests in London over the past two days, you can see 'em all here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/paulyrichard/

Vladimir, thanks.

The police acted jus' like 'pigs'. I was in the thick of it too. They indiscriminately strongarmed and corralled everyone, how this is suppose to help and not incite hatred and violence I will never know.

The police talk about and take action against people incitin' hatred and violence, but this is exactly what the police were doin' themselves.

I agree, the police should treat people the way then want people to treat them. If they act like mindless bullies they can not expect anything else from the people.

Hiya,
great work pauly richard!

I'm loving but still getting used to my Ricoh (GX200)! I'm no techy. Have been finding it tricky on demos. here are a couple from the Gaza protests. Night shots very tricky for me -withut flash=blue. With = all the issues about resetting - manual mode doesnt seem to cover it. Any advice gladly consumed!
