Private Palms

This is another shot I found today (7 Feb.)on my travels in London. I think this is some sort of nightclub. Who cares anyway, to me this shot looks like somewhere in the mediterranean, the blue sky and palms do a lot to convince you of that I guess.

Sure, it convinces me that we are near the greek isles perhaps.
Its a cool image, a speck of life in the concrete jungle.

The blue skys must be a bit rare in London at the moment? I hear there is a lot of snow about

Yeah Tim, the snow has all gone now.
I tend to find that we have some wicked blue skies in the middle of winter. I was waitin' on the pavement for what cloud there was to pass, oh yeah, and a section 44.

Good one Paul! It's really like from mediterranean. Some 4 years ago I visited Cornwall (St. Ives) and I was shocked by the mediterranean atmosphere of this place. Snowy white houses everywhere, sandy beaches, palms, hot and sunny weather...a very nice surprise for a foreigner who never visited South England before The only thing that returned me back to the reality was bloody cold sea even in the middle of summer Some (most probably) crazy people even swim there without neoprene!

Cornwall and Devon are places that I used to visit for my holidays when I was a kid. Cornwall was always best.

We have a very Mediterranean climate here in Adelaide, South Australia but very little architecture like this.
