currently i own a gx-200w finder and a cx-1 , the most exciting camera thing for me now is m4\3 ive got a ep-1 and a gf-1 and oim having a blast shooting with them when even the ep-1 is too big i opt for one of the excellent ricohs , they are truely special to me , i wish the menus and the sheer usability of the ricohs were part of user experence of the m4\3 cameras i own , but alas for all their m4\3 greatness, they are often clumsy compared to my ricohs

i really am following the rumors of an interchangable lens system from ricoh with great intrest , i have high hopes !!!!

Thanks for the greeting ;). Perhaps if you have the time you could post some of your ep-1 & gf-1 images in the "open gallery" ; that would be interesting to see.

Hi ricohlizer and welcome on board! Funny thing how many 4/3 users end up with Ricoh (I'm one of them)? I think the main reason for this move is size of Ricoh cameras, and of course, excellent lens. No matter how small the m4/3 or 4/3 system is, it's still too big compared to Ricoh cameras. And Ricoh user interface combined with uncompromising LCD panels used in Ricoh cameras also adds great advantage over other brands. I look forward to Ricoh "interchangeable lens" or "large sensor" solution. I'm sure Ricoh will add something special to their solution, as they always did (first fixed lend compact, first compact with detachable EVF, first long zoom compact with 28mm lens, etc...). They already broke several barriers so I'm really curious about their rumored system. Hope the rumors about announcement date are right and we will soon see ;)

Hi ricohlizer and welcome again to the forum... - http://ricohforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=6 ... =40#p13952

I too am looking forward to the announcement of a new interchangeable lens camera.
The EP1 I nearly bought and the GF1 seems like even closer to what I want but I am holding off on anything till after 12th Nov.
I do feel I may pare down the number of cameras soon as I am having difficulty "switching" between the OS and systems - its not helping my photography.

i really like a more pronounced and grippable handhold so on my cx-1 i used a piece of "pleather" from an old case for a minolta 7sII rangefinder
and fitted it to the grip of the cx-1 , i think it looks better with a visually distinctive grip and it easier to hold as well
