Hi triker,
had the same problem with the S10 module but at full zoom. Did not want to focus even on contrasty subjects and this problem developed in time, it did not manifest from the begining. I send it for repair under warranty to Convar Germany and they changed the lens assembly and now it is ok. I did not even send it with the camera body, just the module. So from my point of view it is the module.

The whole kit will go back to the vendor (with the @Folix sreen protector - can´t get if off) and I will get a new one. Fingers crossed this one will be accurate.
But I´m still wondering - because I was able to focus manually, then it could not only be a hardware-, more likely a software problem or a combination.
