Andy, it was a kind of special day. The clouds almost touched the tops. When we set off down, the very tops disappeared in them and were no more visible that day. The temperature up there might have been only slightly above zero C, but almost no wind, hardly some breeze. Although no sun, the trip was really great.Wiener":3n9qi7e7 said:Perhaps not so easy on a windy day...but what a thrilling walk! Thanks Peter, for letting us join you on your adventure!

Albert, it might have been photographed with Nikkor 18-200mm on Nikon D90. I will check.AlbertTRAL":3n9qi7e7 said:Spectacular shot and location! Which hardware?
Martin, thank you. I like that area much, too, though having not much opportunities to drop in and enjoy more frequently.setvak":3n9qi7e7 said:Peter,
this brings me back memories of many, many years ago when I was there myself ... Nice shot, nice place!

Thank you, David. Suffering from vertigo and climbing such slopes is not a good combination. The fall might be quite long.lensman":11bmb1l9 said:Great photo Peter, I could get vertigo if I look at it for too long![]()
Nothing bigger living up there has been seen if we do not count a few ducks and hawks. Yes ducks live nearby because there is a half-dozen of glacial lakes up the valley though they are rather small.thelps":11bmb1l9 said:I feel as its a barren place but I suspect it teeming with unique forms of life.
Whats the weather like on these mountains? Hot in summer freezing snow in winter?
