Off a car bonnet - but which make?

Mmm ok...heres an image of the car...probably won't help much though...

This is so darn close to the one on the bonnet that I pictured and when I research on the net for the car and year, I see a different bonnet ornament from what I pictured. The car that this was attached to was a British Alvis Speed 25 from 1936.......

Yes,.... as far as I can tell from my enquiries, the Alvis 25 had a type of eagle(?) as a hood ornament...
Upon close inspection of the first posted image above, there seems to be a space in the rear (R) hand where the original spear would have been connected...
Here's another image of a 1928 GP bobtail with the same hood ornament(different car than the first one I put up which was a classic sedan)......Although there are certain GPaige models in that year which don't seem to have the ornament at all!.....
Could just as easy be the case where if you find a good one, shove it on the bonnet of your car, no matter what it is!! :lol:
BTW...the bobtail ornament also is missing the spear....
