October contest open for voting! Thank you all for very nice entries!

As always, the voting will be open for next 7 days. This month, you can, but you don't need to, select up to 10 photos!

In case of too low number of votes or split vote, I reserve the right to select the winner myself.

Please, don't vote for yourself! Be fair and vote for a competitor's work! ;) Thank you!
BTW, the voter's name is always visible in the little combo box displaying the percentage. And once the vote is cast, it cannot be changed! ;)

"You may select up to 10 options."

It's possible to select almost half of the pictures. Is that how it is intended?

I would like to bring back rule to vote on just one photo.
Some of us vote for ONE, samo for TEN shots in a row. It's just can't be right

i thought it was up to 'Five' votes - but if it 'Ten' - i could still vote once

best not to get too serious ;)

as i've got no votes (yet?) maybe i'll start to cry :( :D

Kort.

:)

I still think it sould be just three votes.
Gold, silver & bronze.
It's just that some comps have so many good entries that three votes just arn't enough.

Hi Kort,
you are in my position last month...
I just have to conclude that I am totaly @!**$@ at Streetshooting... I too think it is fun...but slightly serious...just not too serious? It is hard to know where to draw the line, I agree.

Yes, I think 10 votes is too much, as I like to decide. 1 vote would be a bit too hard, as to decide takes time. Normally I vote for 3 photos.
As for the decisions, often I am wondering why one photo gets so much votes and another nothing. So it would be interesting to know, why people choosed a picture, which criterions they had.

Hi all, I think a congratulations to Andy (again) what is this win #6 now Andy?
We need a mathematician to advise on the voting system, it needs to be able to separate the low number of entries with our limited contributing membership.
I think the high count of votes helps separate out a winner but gives everyone some kind of score.

Hi Tim, thanks for your congratulations! :D . But I have no idea how often I have won...not as often as your guessing iws!
On the voting topic, although I voted for 8 (I think) my absolute favourites were panonski, mainiac, olyz, petach and blow-in's entries. If I had been restricted to a single vote, then it probably would have been olyz's amazing Kodak shot. As he ended up a few points behind my other favourites then a single vote would have put him on step closer to gold. But it is not great to get your picture favoured by no one? Grand Prix scoring perhaps? ;) Then we WOULD need your mathematician!
Andy
