Nightscapes

Looks perfect, Peter. The processing is on the rough side a bit (mainly #1 feels so) but works great. A nice night series.

Peter

PS: A question yet. Were the crane lights moving or something? The light tracks around them seem unusual.

Hi Peter. Thanks. I just think the cranes are so tall they oscillate in the wind, so the 30s exposure picked it up.

Thanks all. I did the same effect with my 5d. Can someone explain why the smaller sensor ricoh only took a second or 2 exposure, whereas the larger sensor of the Canon 5d took much, much longer.

Maybe because of a dark frame subtraction in the case of the 5d? It would obviously take double time if the GRD did not. I do not know exactly from which exposure the GRD starts taking the dark frame for noise subtraction, maybe 10 seconds?

They are simply wonderful Peter...
