Newcomer from Italy !!!

Hi all, just again fallen victim of GAS (gear acquisition syndrome...if you know what I mean LOL!!!) trade in my old Nikon DSLR kit and got 2nd hand GRDIII plus 2hand GXR with P28-300 and S24-72. Also over eBay found good bargain for A50 macro which I could not resist. Now drain out all my resources. It's all still packaged and armor glass just applied on both or cameras rear display and on front lens for GR only. Hope to get nice shot soon this w'end.

Hi filippo and welcome here! Congratulations on your purchases, hope you enjoy the new gear. Post some pictures, it would be great to see a bit of Italy. I am hoping very much to be in Piemonte in June.

Welcome flippo. You are like me - you buy last year's gear. Good choices though - I love my GRD4 and the A12 50 on the GXR is so nice to handle and takes pictures that can look like 3D.

Thx you all gent for the warmer welcome. To complete previous pic I overnight went thru last buy-it-now securing an GXR APC 24-85 lensor...damn it!!! Good thing wife was already fallen asleep otherwise....hope to be able to start using all this w'end. Thx again. Btw any recommended setting to make my life easier to begin with are more than welcome!!! Take your light gents

Sounds like we have similar gear! I have certainly got loads of pleasure out of mine, and still do! I have recently bought a second hand GR and am now wondering if I still need the GRDIII...but no reason to rush this decision! Perhaps I will 'tidy up' my collection when my dream camera comes along...

I have the same wife approval issue.
The lenses seem to be harder to get approved than camera.

Lens arrived brand new and boxed. I've just finished upgrade to last firmware available 1.51 for all the 4 lensors and GXR body. Weather still miserable....literally pouring!!! So no chance to go out and shoot, darn it!!!
