I've just joined the world of Ricoh with my GRD2!
About me: I've been a long time casual photographer, but lately looking to be more serious and improve my skills. I've been using a excellent, but ancient, Powershot A80 since 2004, and decided it was finally time for an upgrade. While I've taken many good pictures with my trusty A80, I started to find myself limited by the slow operation and small screen. I've wanted to upgrade to a more serious camera for about a year now, but didn't want to go to a DSLR (too big). After reading countless review and forum posts, I decided I wanted to give Ricoh a try. I found a good deal on a used GRD2 and decided to go for it. I figured I'd try out the GRD series on something less expensive to see if I liked it. So far, it's been a great little camera. I love the build quality and photography-centric design (and the screen is HUGE and bright compared to my Canon!).
I'm looking forward to learning the ins and outs of this camera and improving my skills.
Two recent shots. Both with minimal processing in Windows Live Photo Gallery.
