Hello to All. I just joined the forum today. I'm a professional photographer living in Columbus, Ohio USA. I needed a high quality, compact camera to take with me when I travel and, after reading various online reviews and forums (especially this one), and after looking at images posted by Ricoh GXR owners, I decided to buy the GXR with the A12 50mm unit. This was in late October. Since then, have acquired the A12 28mm unit as well. Couldn't be happier with this gear! Am looking forward to sharing some of my images with you, as well as learning what you are accomplishing with this awesome little system.

Thank you for the warm welcome! Yes, I am still working as a pro photographer, though business is somewhat slow due to the shaky economic environment. Here are a couple of images I made with the GXR and A12 50 mm (33.3 mm) camera unit taken on my first day with the camera. It was a windy day, camera handheld. These were captured as large jpegs with no post processing, reduced to small jpegs here for uploading.

I'm working on a website which should be online sometime in January. As for flickr, I don't have a personal account yet, but will try to get one going in the near future. Until then, I'll post a few GXR images here from time to time.
