Since I was driving as I shot this, timing is very critical, especially with the sign.
The black item is my mirror, i usually try to include as a signature of my Driving in Dallas series, often using reflections as part of the overall composition.
Were I just shooting normally I would have been able to compose more precisely, being stationary and not moving at 25 mph with heavy traffic pressing me

I didn't mean to suggest you did a bad job. It was more like my mind pursuing the perfect image, and perhaps how I would have tried to retouch it.

In the case of "the black thing" I immediately change my mind, and wish that more of the mirror was visible. Really, I do; I think it would improve the picture. And I'm ashamed I didn't recognize it as your signature after all your driving pictures.

I ought to have had my 21mm with me and/or stopped further back (at risk of annoying volatile Dallas Rush Hour Drivers) and gotten the mirror in better.
