minutes past sunrise...

It's been some time since I posted a photo? I was somehow out of the inspiration and of course, constant lack of time.

Here are two photos I captured today (very early) morning. The actual time is 6AM, not 5AM as suggested by the EXIF. Who cares about the DST? ;) Both photos are straight out of the camera (just scaled down). No PP whatsoever. I'm just experimenting with some advanced in-camera color settings. I think they turned good?

The second one is closer to your color "style" and both have good morning atmosphere. I love morning scenes but I'm always lazy to wake up early or in hurry on the road to work so I just enjoying them without camera. :)

Very lovely ! .... the first image is where i would go for a picnic , beautiful .

regards Kort .

:)

I like the first one, too! The second one looks a little dull to me...
Yes, a breakfast at the first place would be nice.
Best regards, Gerd
BTW: My GXR+P10 has reached Pirmasens (Germany) for repair after its fall a couple of weeks ago...

Thanks for your comments guys! Here are two more from today...

Khortal, I should take the pics of this place from a different angle to give you the right perspective of this "beautiful picnic" place ;) There is a lot of mess around and I would definitely not want to make a picnic there. This is a perfect example of a distorted reality :D

Gerd, I hope the GXR will be back with you! BTW, the plastic part that keeps the batter on its place is most probably faulty from design/factoring. Mine just broke off without an apparent reason! One day it held the battery on its place, the other day the battery jumped out and I realized the plastic part is broken. And no, I did not drop the camera. At least not in these days ;) It fell once in the early days but that was over a year ago.

@Pavel: The GXR is currently in Pirmasens and will be repaired for about 45 Euros ("flat charge" -- at least I agreed to the repair today...). I assume that it will be back next week. For the time being, I will use my wife's CX4 in cases of "emergency". Today, I wanted to use it for taking shots of a bird's nest -- but without any success. I could not recognize anything on the LCD screen, I need an EVF...
BTW: I already broke the battery holder on my wife's R5 (Ricoh repaired it at no cost!) - but also after dropping it. Nevertheless, I agree with you that the design could be more robust.
Best regards, Gerd
PS: I sold the R5 to my SAP colleague, and she just rediscovered it and used it at a conference...

Beautiful shots Pavel - love the lighting and composition :D . The fourth shot is so perfect, with the sun behind the tree.

I like most the last one having a classic composition, a nice foreground-background contrast, and misty distant mountains on the horizon.

Peter
