I requested permission to take these photos because of the confined space - as there are many different religious, ethnic and cultural commitments in this country - and I don't think that photography should cause offense; unless of course you are with a newspaper in which case offense sells ;) . DNG processed with RawTherapee and quite difficult to get a reasonable result.

Chris, I have some suggestions. Don't use apertures above f4.5-f5.6 at wide end and f7 at tele end. Apertures above f4.5 suffers with diffraction effect (in other words, the images become softer). And another suggestion, under such difficult lightning conditions is better to use lower aperture numbers (= bigger hole) to get the maximum shutter speed without the need of using high ISO. And finally, these photos looks to be seriously underexposed (probably due your attempt to get the maximum shutter speed?). Too underexposed photos automatically increase noise while processing and therefore processing is much more difficult.
