Here is an example of yachting on a shoe string. These 2 shots were taken at Brough Haven on the River Humber (it's the Humber Yawl Club - one of the oldest sailing clubs in England!). The haven is very tidal and has a drain running through it too - these show the small boats moored fore & aft across the drain.

Taken using positive film & weak vignetting. I hope you have an impression of mud!
