Lunchtime to dusk with LR3

Pete,
I will not say how much better and alive the b&w image is. I've been accused of pushing b&w and some think it's unfair. So I will not say how much more interesting the b&w is vrs the color......

Pete, maybe it's time for you to start teaching. This is the perfect set to explain what photography is about.

The color image as nice as it is, reflects on reality. It reminds us of place in the world that is serene, a location that is fixed yet the ability to travel....and of course much more.

The b&w shows us a new world. It shows us a photograph that is not anything less nor more then a photograph. It exist without the need for the reality it was abstracted from. It is it's own.

Thanks Pete.....

What a great shot. Like Don im biased towards BW....But I would dodge the lower parts so that it is more balanced. Awesome photograph

cheers guys, I just enjoyed the challenge of changing an anodyne and mediocre shot into something spiky.
