Certain disadvantage of the R/CX series in the interval mode is the absence of manual (M) exposure mode. While on some occasions the AE is useful or even crucially needed, in other cases the flicker or variations of the exposure resulting from the AE of these cameras can pose a serious problem. However, this can be easily overcome, using the AE Lock function.
