My first attempt at a reply is lost in cyberspace. I particularly like #4 with the high contrast and the compostion of the pollarded trees, the roof line and the road edge - great!

Thanks! #4 is my own favorite also :D

WoW! You've done it again Genster - you may just be the maestro of B&W photography ;) . There's definitely something special about number 4, but all are superb. Well done indeed!

indeed, outstanding series!

your b&w looks so ... super clean.
if you want to share how you convert your b&w, my ears are open. ;)

btw
also nr 4 for me

Thank you all for your comments. Much appreciated!!!

@ 5four: My workflow is very simple: black and white conversion with a yellow-filter and some extra contrast. Mostly with PSE10 and/or CNX2 :D

i'm sorry, maybe a stupid question but does it mean that you add a yellow filter on your lens or is it a special tool in your conversion software ?

I'm not that graet with software bla bla... :D
still learning lightroom, just know the basics.

The digital filter is the most easily way. I don't have LR, but I'm (almost) sure that LR have these kind of filters.

Are there any LR-users at the forum who can help us with this LR-question?????

Hi Genster,

these are definitive great pictures. I like them all, but no`4 is the one. A bit pp i believe ?! All in all, just great ( maybe no`3 is it ? I am not shure. I like the one with the horse too ).

all the best

Markus

Just a yellow-filter and a little extra contrast; thats all :)

No.4 for me is an incredible composition with beautiful tones. Dig those fantastic shadows from the tortured trees.
