Le baladin

New Member
Taken while in Paris earlier this month. Le baladin (strolling player) is slowly becoming extinct in Paris. Fewer & fewer of them seem to be around, standing & playing in front of a café or in a square, hoping someone will appreciate the performance and drop some coins in his cup. :|

Günaydin aydemiru!
Sorry to take so long to reply, but we had a huge storm last Friday that knocked out power for five days. I'm just now getting caught up with email, etc.
Thanks for your comment. Yes, the image is rather small, and the copyright large, but I'm a professional photographer and I posted this image on Facebook where people steal images and use them in any manner they wish. One day, this image will be part of a collection on Paris that I hope to publish. Hence, I feel the need to protect it. :)

Tying to look past the signature (imposing) and consider Le baladin's face (intriguing).
In any case, I hope you dropped a handful of coins in his cup if you're going to publish his image.

Thanks for the comment, krt1.
As I explained above, it is necessary to apply some level of protection to one's images when posted online.
And, yes, I dropped a euro in his cup. No one else in the café he was playing in front of gave him anything. ;)

High quality street musicianship is an under-appreciated art-form these days.

As is high quality street photography. Thanks for posting
