Forum,
Just got my GR from Adorama. I previously owned a GXR/A12, then moved to an Olympus OM-D, and am now happily back in the Ricoh family. Really missed the IQ, form factor, and shallow DoF.
The GR is such a nice advancement over the GXR in most every way. I love how you can control NR as a function of ISO. I love the improved AF (though the OM-D still beats it). I love the improved sensitivity (can happily shoot at 6400ISO).
Enough gush -- I have a question and a nit.
Question:
I typically shoot JPEG. Any recommendations for JPEG (color) settings?
Nit:
I love to shoot in B/W. On my GXR I was able to map Fn1/Fn2 to toggle color and a specific effect (B/W) with a single button press. On the GR it seems that the best I can do is map Fn1/Fn2/Effect to the effects menu. Three clicks in total vs. one. Petty, but a bit frustrating. Am I missing something? Can I do this smarter with MySettings?
Thanks!
