With my Finepix F31fd, 24mm, f5, iso1600, -2ev

I carry this with my GRD, they compliment one another nicely in capabilities.
I AM loving the GRD, sad they seem to be going away, just like the f30/31's :(
Hoping for GRD2..... :D

Lili, the Finepix F31fd (6 megapixel) does not have a 24mm lens.
Its zoom range is from 38-108mm f/2.8-f/5. ;)

But anyway, very good pic! Pity the fuji did not release anything like GRD, G7/9 or mythic DP1. With their large 6MP sensor and high iso algorithms, they would have a very nice competitor in the town. I personally would like to see the noise reduction OFF switch in their cameras, because even the "clean" high iso pics from fuji are strongly processed with a lot of lost details. But still, these P&S compacts are very good performers (except the horrible lens and poorly designed, slow and overpriced XD cards).

108mm is '35mm equivalent focal length' I was citing the ACTUAL focal length, which would be the equivalent of 108mm.
It al la Matter of persepctive :)
As the lens barrel markings say, "8-24mm" :D

Pavel, the F3x series lenses actually tested pretty well per DPReview and others.
Except for CA; the purple fringing in edges in bright light can be bad.
The F31 NR is actually quite a bit better than the F30; a bit more noise but with more detail and far fewer NR artifacts.
So they were getting on the right track.
Then they went and introduced the F50
Sigh, its like they changed management or something.
Agreed entirely about the XDcards  slowwwww
Also the ergonomics, while decent, are not nearly in the same neighborhood as those of the GRD or GX's.
An F3X sensor, with a really good, fast, wide-angle would really rock :D
