A nice mixture of shots. I like them all. The backgammon is great - clearly an edge of the seat game. The bazaar is so busy. The colours in #2 are wonderful. And so is the dancer shot while #5 is a portrait of despair. Five shots to sum-up a very complex city? Probably not but a very good set in my opinion.

Nice set. And well captured diversity of the city. I regret I`ve never been there - looking at these, I want to go!

On the last one - just an impression, I haven`t been there - what if step back and framing more to the left, to have also police officer? Maybe this would add something here?

The series transfers the spirit of Istanbul. Saw the photos on your blog, many more fine street photos there.

Thanks all.

Richard, you are right. It is a complex but fascinating city.

Ycp13, when I was taking the shot, the security guard who I meant to include suddenly turned her back to me so I decomposed and, just as I half pressed, she turned again. By then, it was too late ... Because the bored expression would have added the spirit of naked indifference ... Something I wished to avoid. So I made do with the hint of human presence instead.

Roni, thank you for your kind words.
