I just bought a GX200, with the intention of making some time lapse films. So far it has been good fun with clouds illuminated by setting suns. I am thinking about investing in an infrared filter, after I chanced upon this incredible moonset timelapse on YouTube, shot in infrared. But I'm wondering whether the GX200's 24mm wide angle lens will minimize and shrink the moon to a great extent. Maybe better with one of my longer lens cameras... or shoot in high res then crop?

Incredible colours hey? He gives some tips about changing white balance there, but I'm wondering whether the orange colours are more due to the moon-set co-inciding with the sun setting, rather than any IR effect... meaning such clips might be possible without an IR filter, but only once in a blue moon (pardon the pun).
