A small splash caused by rain dripping off the end of a branch, which is hanging over this still pond, sent ripples out gently in all directions.

Am a fan of aqueous mirroring of the trees and sky above. The structure of the reflections of the tree-limbs is well-preserved in B&W - but I wonder how it might look in color, as well ... ?
It's a Ricoh pic ... why not enter it in this months (May) contest? It might well (in my mind) be a strong contender!

(If I recorded with Ricohs) I might enter a (somewhat larger) 1024x768 pixel-size version of this one:

I fished this JPG out of my DMC-TZ4 shots from Spring 2009. Post-processed it using DxO 6.2 + Artizen + Sagelight + XnView.

The water is absolutely clear - the world of the foliage on the bottom of the pond melts within the world of trees and sky above:
