I don't believe that I'm the first pentax user/interested member here
Well, I always take pictures with Pentax. First of all with a MZ-50 (with a FA 28-80) then with a Z-1 (and my lens collection growed up A 50/2, M 40/2.8, A 70-210/4, K 24/2.8). Then came a spotmatic (that I use actually with a super takumar 28, 35, 55, 105, 135 and 200) and a Me super. At the end *istD with DA 18-55ALII, FA 35/2, FA 100-300 and F 70-210.
Now I choose sell dslr to change with a mirrorless and continue to keep only spotmatic with M42 lens in Pentax world.

You are definitely not the only Pentax user here! After the announcement of Ricoh/Pentax buyout, we got many newcomers from the Pentax world. It's just that Pentax people most probably prefer to talk Pentax equipment on a dedicated Pentax forum. I personally think that Ricoh did a great thing buying Pentax, because there is a lot of potential in both companies. I always liked the Pentax cameras and if I would not be in love with small and mighty Ricohs, my other choice would be most probably Pentax DSLR ;) I'm curious if we ever see a Pentax K mount GXR module, but I guess not, because it would look ugly (because of noticeably longer flange distance of the K mount). But there is always a chance to buy the M to PK adapter to make the K lenses usable with the M mount module.

I hope not to be the only pentax user
The last Pentax collaboration (with Samsung) was not successfull.
We hope in next :)

Re: I'm the first? and I'm the third?

I am pleased to see this section on the Ricoh Forum as I am a long time Pentax user. I recently bought a GXR and am having fun getting to grips with the system.

It would be great to be able to use my existing Pentax lenses specially the Limiteds on the GXR but at present it is not possible to use the DA lenses due to lack of an aperture ring. I understand that RJ jinfinance are working on a Pentax K to Leica M adapter with aperture control so I have hope.

I think Ricoh and Pentax should work well together as they both are minority players in the market producing smaller lighter cameras aimed at photographers rather than the mass consumer market.

Ciao ellepi and welcome to the forum!

I have the GXR and A12 M module, as well as the A12-28 and A12-50. I purchased an Olympus OM to Leica M adapter from Adriano Lolli COMA in Italy for my old OM lenses. Below, you will find a link to some of my photos taken at a pumpkin (gourd) festival with these lenses and the COMA adapter. I just looked at the COMA website and saw that they make a PK to M adapter. Since they are in your home country shipping will be cheap and quick. Shipping here to the US was expensive and slow due to international registered mail.

Here's the link to COMA: http://www.adrianololli.com/articolo.asp?ID=2520

What I find interesting is that Pentax users have searched & found us here at the Ricoh forum.
Some Pentax users have embraced the new GXR camera system & sound pleased.
I'm am waiting to see the first Pentax / Ricoh collaboration, & what camera they come up with.
I also wonder if any Ricoh users have checked out any Pentax stuff. Ether old or new.
Its good stuff and has been ever since the first Japanese SLR.
I have a Pentax stereo adapter I must use more of, Ha, if only I had e a 50mm lens..

ive long likes pentax , and their excellent auto 110 slr lenses are great on m 43 cameras , i even use a 70mm 2.8 and a 20-40mm 2.8 zoom 110 lens , they are very good optics

i was very excited that ricoh bought pentax , better than hoya that basically plundered the company for medical imaging and such , ricoh is an honorable firm that will bring this collaberation of engineers and technology to some very good , yet unforseen places, i cannot wait to see what they come up with

I began with Pentax ME-Super and LX long time back. Later I added Leica M.
After some digital P&S (even a Ricoh) I came back to Pentax with K10, K20 and K7.
Now the circle is completed thanks to Ricoh.
Cheers Bernhard

I'm very surprised and happy too to see Pentax world on Ricoh forum!
I'm in Pentax wordl for some years, because of using a lot of oldies.
Now, I've Pentax Kr and Kx, with 17/70 and 3 macro (50 - 70 - 100).
And I enjoy taking Kr + 17/70 + GRD I; it's quite enough for all photos.

Another one here.

I started with a Ricoh KR10x long, long ago, which used the Pentax-K mount, and a few years back decided to upgrade to digital with a Pentax K20D. Now I'm looking forward to see what Ricoh makes out of the new venture.
