I wish Ricoh had launched the GRD4 sooner

I was deciding between the GRD4, and a DSLR.
I waited, and waited as long as I could for the GRD4 to come out, but gave up, and a month ago I went with getting a Nikon DSLR.
What a mistake! I can't get along with it at all. I can set my GRD with my eyes closed, but a dslr is a right pain with few useful buttons, and menu upon menu to change fairly basic settings.
I blew my money on the wrong camera, then lost my job 2 weeks later, so no more cameras for quite a while.

Oh well, at least I've still got my GRD to use.

Rant over, sorry everyone

Sorry to hear of your troubles. Maybe you could sell the Nikon and put that money towards a GRD IV, or GXR?....Just a suggestion.

Hello, it's not troubles as such, I realise I'm lucky enough not to be starving in Africa. Just typical of my bad timing more than anything!

Garry,

I sympathize. Maybe try to look at this as a challenge to get familiar with a different tool. The Nikon may not be a Ricoh but it has its fans.

I have a Nikon DSLR and a Ricoh GXR.
It goes well together ;)
Also Nikon DSLR without Ricoh goes quite well, although I do not know whether it is allowed to mention it here. :)

Thanks for the replies everyone :)

I've cheered up today, and managed to get some decent pictures with the Nikon, so I thought I'd put a nice one here to make up for moaning.

Garry, you sure will find out what the Nikon is good for after some training to get used into it. The shot is a promising evidence.
