Highland Gem

Blow-in

Active Member
I was in Nairn (Scotland) today and with some time to kill and with GRD4 in hand I decided to seek out the railway station. Many stations have been modernised in the Highlands but as Nairn was originally a terminus on the first railway in the Highlands (the other end being Inverness - station facade ruined by modern development) I was hoping for something better; I was not disappointed.

A few in colour.

This is the cafe

The guy in the high viz jacket has the 'token' to hand to the train driver so that trains are prevented from travelling in the opposite direction (it's mainly single track)

This is the Inverness to Aberdeen train
