Im fairly new here- newish to Ricoh. Been into photography all my life- ( hobby only-I just dabble ) where do I start ? LOL -film- several rangefinders, Viewmaster stereo cam, Minolta Dynax 5, Nikon F80 and the rest. Started with digital back in 2000 with an Olympus Camedia Zoom, that died and I got a Canon A620- great camera. Got my first DSLR in March ths year-Sony A300 along with several Minolta/Sony lenses. Also since have bought a KM 5D and a Sony A100 as back-ups. Also got a second hand Nikon D70 last month- very cheaply.
Have always lusted after a Ricoh-one of my local camera shops here in North-East England is a Ricoh dealer -so I jumped on board with an R10-loving it despite the reviews.....
Sally on here has a GRD 111 which I had a look at recently- we are members of the same Flickr group and we had a group meet last Sunday. Im seriously considering buying one but will really research it first- and start saving.
Looking forward to posting some images once I get them downsized.
My fav topics are my dog, buildings/bridges, the sea, macro- flowers, industry.....

This is a fantastic forum with wonderfull members that are always willing to help in any way they can :)

I hope that you enjoy your R10 and next time we meet you can have a go off my GRD3 :)

Luckily, we never had any troublemakers here ;) I remember only one guy who was expelled from this forum, but it was in the early forum days and this guy was really arrogant and ignored all my attempts to calm him down. I don't like banning people or censoring the discussions. But sometimes there is no other way.

Ive been on forums where a particular troublemaker has been allowed to upset too many people before being banned. Not sure why but some people love to get a reaction even if its a negative one- attention seeking ? Anyway you wont get any trouble from me :) ;)
