Hi Everyone.

Great site and discussions you have here. Thanks to all involved who make it happen.

I've been snooping around this forum for a few months now and ended up buying a GRDIV for a trip to Sri Lanka I went on in January. I had a soft spot for Ricoh given I still have a GR1v in one of my drawers somewhere. But I hadn't shot anything for years with it due to the rising costs of film and my very average talents making it hardly seem worth the trouble. But this site got me interested again and I had a great time with the GRDIV whilst I was away.

P.S. Here's a few of the shots - I hope I've done it right and the links work. I haven't used a camera for a while now (and never that much when I did use one) so you'll have to excuse the "patchy" quality as it feels like I'm starting from scratch. But I did have a great time with it all.

Hi Rohan, and welcome!
As everyone will tell you we are a friendly mixed bunch of photo people on here. When I started posting on here I was very much new to the digital world, my last real camera before that also being a GR1v, so I know exaclty where you are coming from!
I do not seem to be able to open the links to your pictures though, but it would be great to see them so perhaps you could try and link them again? Or upload a few directly onto the forum, what ever is easiest for you.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
We normally suggest posting some images but of course you have uploaded some excellent pics and I've enjoyed them.
I agree about the elephant image, its my fav by a long way. That would look awesome on a wall.
