Hi from Hagen/Germany,

I bought a GRD in Jan.08, after struggling with the controls of my first digital camera Nikon Cooplpix E5000 for two years. It was an incredible change! Last year I bought a GX100 to be better prepared for our little son (portraits..) and to see if the "my" settings might come in handy. A few weeks ago I bought a CX3 for the video capabilities (son again) and to test if I could make use of the tele lens.

In the good old days I take my Yashica T5 (only 100 ISO films) with me on hillwalking tours, city and cycling trips. My photographic skills are "undeveloped", but I'm willing to learn more. I think the "G"-RIcohs are capable to support me on that road.

More about my experiences with the cameras, the Ricoh service and some accessories will follow soon (hopefully).

Welcome here to the forum Siegfried. Great people here with lots of sharing of knowledge. Looking forward to some pics and posts. ;)

Hi Siegfried and welcome here! Please don't hesitate to post some photos or eventually a link to your public gallery if you have any? Enjoy the forum and your new camera!

Welcome to this friendly forum Siegfried! Hope you like it here. The Ricohs are certainly very user friendly, with superlative menu setups and body build quality. They are also very good for taking on walking/cycling trips, due to their compact design. You've made a wise choice of camera for your needs ;) . Hope to see your pics on here soon.

Hi,

nice to see that somebody from germany comes to join the bunch. I am waiting too to see some pics.

Have fun...
