Hello - new user from Victoria BC Canada

Hello. I was briefly looking around and didn't see a specific area to say hello to new users on this forum. My apologies if this is misplaced. In November I finally made a switch to digital and decided to get a GX200. I was a Nikon film SLR guy and wanted to switch to digital, but wanted more of a compact camera with lots of great user adjustable features and some options like teleconversion lenses etc. After a long search I decided upon getting a GX200 and so far am very happy with it!
I am not sure if there are other users of this camera that live on the island or in the pacific northwest, if there are - please send a note and introduce yourself.
I am in the midst of deciding on photo editing/organizing software and am strongly leaning to Lightroom. If anyone has tips on places to get this software at a great price, I'd be happy to receive any suggestions on where to get it.
Anyways, thats all for now, I am looking forward to learning more about the camera, tips to improve its set up, and lots more.

Hi there and welcome on board! I should definitely add an "Introduce yourself" sub-forum.

GX200 is definitely great camera. It only requires a bit better sensor. Something less MP-crammed, like the sensor in GRDII or LX3. But anyway, it's great camera with much better handling and better lens than anything else in its class. Hope to see some nice photos from your part of the world!
