Hello Ricoh forum members,
My name is Arend and I live in the Netherlands.
On the look for a compact camera besides my Nikon D300 I selected the Ricoh GR Digital III as the best option for me (no surprise that Canon G11 & S90 and Panasonic LX3 were also in the race). I received it last week and now will have to learn how to best use it, but first impression is very good as expected.
Besides that I also purchased a CX2 for my daughter that can nicely complement my GRD3 when we are on family trips.
I am planning to have the GRD3 with me as much as possible, which I would not do with my DSLR. On top I think the fixed focal length will force and stimulate me to a different way of looking and photographing, which is nice (I have the same with my new 35mm 1.8 on my Nikon that I sometimes also keep on without changing lenses for a day).
So I only really discovered Ricoh a few weeks ago, but I am already a big fan now (also bought two magazines on the GRD3 on Amazon Japan yesterday that were referred to in another post on this forum).
I hope to learn a lot here and after some time maybe can contribute as well.
