As a professional photographer I needed a good compact camera with manual functions and raw. The only one in the market who attract me was GRDII. I had used it for more than a half year now, and I never leave home without it. I always have the Manfrotto 797 Modopocket mounted on the camera and it fits in the original GR belt bag. http://www.manfrotto.com/Jahia/site/manfrotto/pid/16411.
As a user of Nikons professional dslrs (D3 and D2x) I'm familiar with the dedicated buttons for iso, wb, focusmode and expo mode. I had put this functions to the GRDII adj lever- button. With this possibilities to personalize the camera it will be pretty fast to work with.
In fact there are some details I don't like. The combined battery/memorycard door forces me to demount the modopocket tripod every time. I either don't like the very high prices on accessories.
