Hi everybody, I am a total newbie on camera, picked up a Ricoh R10 couple of years back and was pretty impressed by its Macro shots.

I love taking macro pics of my watches(another hobby of mine) & R10 had served me well for many years untill my daughter spoiled the camera ;)

Just gotten a GX200 recently to replace my R10.

Hello, welcome to Ricoh forum, a very nice place to stay. Looking forward to see some interesting images of your watches.

Wolfgang

thanks for the welcome wofgang :)

Sure, I can post some of my beginner's shot, since I was using a R10, I guess I should be posting under 'Other Ricohs' section?

Hi Lunarin79, and a welcome. As mentioned above we look forward to seeing your watch images.
I recall Pavel is a bit of a watch aficionado. I have owned a few in the past. I am currently a bit obsessed by Seikos and some Citizen offerings.
I was very much a mechanical watch guy but lately have been impressed and studying the HEQ quartz movements.

Hello and welcome. This is a very frindly forum. Like others I look forward to seeing your pictures both of watches and I hope some pictures of Singapore, a most interesting city which seems to have new buildings and sights every time I visit.

Welcome.

In addition to the buildings, please post some street shots. I think SIngapore has great street diversity.

Hello lunarin79, & welcome to the Ricoh forum.
Looking forward to some images of from Singapore & your macro's.

Hello,

Tagging onto this thread since I'm from Singapore too. Stumbled upon this forum in August, lovely community here! I'm very new to photography; only picked up my first camera this June - the GXR S10. Been loving it since! Was impressed with the macro capabilities when I first saw it a couple of years back when shopping for my wife's camera.

As for photography style, I don't have any in particular. I just enjoying taking capturing beautiful and interesting scenes that I chance upon with my eyes. Still learning how to capture those scenes as beautifully as they look to the natural eye though!

Cheers.
